Trump Calls Time Magazine Cover Photo the “Worst of All Time”
President Donald Trump is not impressed with his latest Time magazine cover, despite the magazine’s story praising his recent diplomatic success.
The October 2025 edition of Time featured Trump on its cover following his announcement of a framework between Israel and Hamas, an agreement hailed as a potential step toward ending the two-year Gaza conflict. The cover headline, “His Triumph,” suggested a major win for Trump’s second term in office.
However, the former president took to Truth Social early Thursday morning to express his disapproval—not of the article, but of the photo.
Trump: “They Disappeared My Hair!”
At 1:36 a.m. ET, Trump wrote, “Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time.”
He went on to criticize the cover photo, which shows him in profile, photographed from below—a shot he said he has “never liked.” Trump complained that the lighting made his signature blond hair appear to vanish, creating what he described as “something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.”
“They ‘disappeared’ my hair… Really weird!” Trump wrote. “I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out.”
Time Magazine History and Social Media Reactions
This isn’t Trump’s first Time magazine controversy. He has appeared on its cover multiple times and was named Person of the Year in both 2016 and 2024. Back in 2016, some critics speculated that Trump’s cover photo was designed to make it look like he had devil horns—a claim Time later dismissed as purely coincidental.
Adding fuel to the latest cover debate, California Governor Gavin Newsom mocked Trump on social media by reposting the image and humorously editing out the president’s neck wrinkles.
While Time magazine has not yet commented on Trump’s reaction, the cover continues to trend across platforms, with supporters and critics alike debating whether Trump’s complaint is valid—or just another example of his long-standing feud with the media.
